40/50 WHEEL CARRIERS.

We are informed by Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that R. {Sir Henry Royce} agrees that on N.2 series chassis we need not have a spare wheel at the back when a luggage grid is fitted.

Therefore, on N.2, series chassis we shall want to be able to offer a luggage grid as per N.Sch.3032 instead of the present Types 2 and 4 grids. The type 2 grid, of course, was designed on the assumption there would be a wheel at the back and the type 4 grid is an adaption of the type 2 and suffers in appearance in consequence.

Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has asked us to enquire of you what are your commitments in respect of grids of the present types 2 and 4 and in connection with rear wheel carriers for N.2 series chassis. Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} also desires us to ascertain when you can have ready for inspection a sample new type luggage grid as shown in N.sch.3032. Could an apron as shown in prints Sch.1464 be used with such a luggage grid?

Please let us have all this information quickly.
