OIL LEAK FROM SPEEDOMETER DRIVE WHEN GOVERNOR UNIT IS FITTED - 20/25HP.

We have tried out the recommendations contained in your memo HIX/M13.10.34 on the bad case of oil leaking which was demonstrated to you on the Test Bed.

We find that the oil leak was entirely eliminated - the engine has stood over the weekend without any signs of leak.

We take it that instructions will now be issued for this modification to be carried out as soon as possible, including any cars on which it can be conveniently carried out in the Test Dept.

When the instructions are issued, we will arrange for a Depot Sheet to be issued, so that any complaints which may crop up in service can be dealt with.
