Wraith II Gearbox. We send herewith N.Sch.4994 showing a modification to the rear bearing of the reverse shaft suggested by the Experimental Department to reduce cost. The front and rear bearings are now the same diameter and the reaming operation is simplified. We also show the bore of the reverse shaft unplugged. We think that although plugging is necessary on the Phantom III it may not be required on the Wraith as the reverse shaft is relatively higher up in the box. E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /HDY. {William Hardy} N.Sch.4994 herewith. | ||
