Wraith Brakes.

We have fitted a simple air damper to the brake pedal of 29.G. to prevent the knock when the brakes are released.

This has proved effective and we should like to have a proper scheme of this arrangement. It consists of a rubber bellows fixed to the dash the other end of the bellows is sealed with a rubber disc in the middle of which is a small hole. A spring is fitted inside the bellows to hold it extended.

A plate fixed to the pedal comes up against the bellows when the pedal is released, this blocks up the hole forming an air cushion which gradually leaks away.

When the pedal is depressed the plate uncovers the hole and allows the bellows to fill.

This scheme is now mocked up on 29.G.VI which is in the shop.
