P.2. Petrol Tank.

Herewith is N. Sch.3922 Petrol Tank with outside filler, made suitable for the new concealed luggage grid on the Phantom 2 for 10,000 miles.

It has been designed in collaboration with EV. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} to suit the probable body requirement. Print enclosed for EV. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} for his confirmation of this.

We have not shown any additional support for the filler, as we did on Vulture(Experimental 6 CYL OHV LONG STROKE / Aero Engine). Some support is afforded by the vent pipe running back to the tank, and it appears better to do any further steadying that may be required from either the wing or the body. But the rubber joint now on Vulture(Experimental 6 CYL OHV LONG STROKE / Aero Engine) seems very rigid.

It is necessary to turn the level indicator round so that it moves transversely on the car instead of fore and aft. N. Sch.3924 shows this modification.

With EV {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 's print is also enclosed his two original drawings of the concealed luggage grid.
