| Lillie Hall to W. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} GWH {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 2/L/11.3.36. We received your memo Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rml0/KW.9.3.36. We were informed upon our arrival at Cricklewood, of Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 's objection, we therefore came here and have started our mileage. The accomodation is not too good, they have partially cleared out the shed where the Cadillac was dismantled for our use. It is not clean and there is no pit, so we cannot make any examinations after the runs. There is not much difficulty with regard to running the mileage, a slight amount of traffic is met with going out and returning. The men have got fixed up close by. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} A.J.E. has fixed me up with another driver, so we are complete, also arranged to get the typing done. With regard to 22 G V. {VIENNA} The petrol consumption is poor, I think it would be a good idea to get Mr. Fisher on the job, if you agree. Also I'm certain that we are experiencing evaporation trouble which he could confirm. We have received a pendulum lever marked 22 G V, is it intended to fit this, if so it means the wing coming off. Enclosed are the Daily Reports. [Signature of G.W.Hancock] GWH. {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
