X457 X7005. re. ENGINE MOUNTINGS. Referring to EV {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 's anti-jellying scheme described in DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /EV {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 1/M27.2.31., we should like to make a test of this but in a somewhat modified form employing bell cranks and a push and pull rod for the parallel motion. Some provision would be required for taking care of the expansion of the crankchamber such as a link. There is still the difficulty remaining that we should be mounting the engine at 4 points in the frame, and also the mechanism may rattle due to reversal of load, but these difficulties might be overcome.
