We have received your telegram: Return with 21-EX as soon as possible. It will take us 2 or 3 days to wind up our affairs here, and we shall not be able to reach Derby before you have commenced your holidays. We will let you know later when we may expect to leave here.

We have to-day received 2 telegauges addressed to Mr. Parsons. Are these the telegauges that have to be fitted to the car?

We took the opportunity, whilst examining the shock dampers for the slackness which had developed, to examine the valves for the by-pass holes, if any. We found there were no holes drilled in the valves. The lost movement reported in the n/s rear damper was due to the lever being slack on the square, and wear in the connecting pins. 90% of the lost movement was taken up after tightening up the nut holding the lever on to the square on the shaft.
