E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /HDY. {William Hardy} J/HP.22.3.37. Wraith III Rear Brakes. We send herewith N.Sch.5091 showing a modified stop for the brake camshaft lever, to reduce the flexibility which has been found to allow the adjustment to be screwed up too far, and, therefore, there has been less shoe clearance than was intended. It is not possible to obtain the same exactness of clearance setting with a rubber stop as with a metal to metal stop, not only because of the variation in the "off" position, but also because of the give when adjusting. It may be necessary to increase the adjustment cam height to allow for the flexibility. We show the rubber moulded directly to the bracket at the suggestion of HPG/RH {R. Hollingworth} who points out that there are not now sheet metal plates on the pedal rubbers. This alteration must be applied to the first Wraith III E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /HDY. {William Hardy} N.Sch.5091 herewith. | ||
