INERTIA DAMPER. 4457
With reference to the inertia damper for high speed steering wobbles. We find that when we are experiencing a wobble of the maximum amplitude which is likely to occur under any combination of circumstances, the angular movement of the arm on this damper is only 22° when the connecting link is in its lowest position.
We suggest therefore that if the movement of the connecting link to this device was geared 2 to 1, it would have a better chance of functioning satisfactorily.
