CLUTCH COUPLING SHAFT - WRAITH.
N Sch.4342 herewith shows the above.
The following points should be noted:-
1. The 1st.motion shaft of the gearbox is modified.
2. The stay between the gearbox and the frame is modified to reduce cost and improve the accessibility of the nuts on the rear coupling. When the stay is removed these nuts are now readily accessible.
3. The holes in the cross must permit the shaft to be moved out of the way for the assembling of the fabric coupling as we show.
4. The shaft must be loosely in place in the cross before the engine and gearbox units are both in place. This is necessary as we have no joint in the middle of the shaft. The shaft can be removed when the clutch is off the engine and the units otherwise in place.
5. We ask for a slight modification to the spout of the oil syringe so that oil may be injected directly into the clutch as shown.
