| (3) device accessible without any other special provision. UNIT DRIVES. It was agreed that the fabric couplings can be driven by simple through bolts from the spiders provided that there is a metal ferrule or its equivalent passing through the fabric to carry the bolt load and allow the bolt to be done up tightly. This does not apply to large couplings. RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} is to report on the necessity for a metal to metal centreing scheme to ensure true running of the coupling tube. Mild steel straps nickel plated will be used for securing the dynamo. The scheme of adjusting washers on the dynamo drive pinion will be deleted and the pinion will be lined up and adjusted for end float by shaving the faces of the bushes in a suitable fixture on the bench. One or two other small modifications we discussed will be introduced when the scheme comes up for revision. OIL FITTINGS. We propose for the oil filler a simple large cap in the valve rocker cover on top of the engine, this cap to have a cylindrical split extension entering a parallel hole in the rocker to retain it in position. SPECIAL BALL BEARINGS. There is no necessity for using special ball bearings on J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. The ball bearings remaining are few in number and will be taken from the standard list.
