X4338. RE EARTHED ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

It will be understood that on "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) II" we have an entirely earthed electrical system. We are proposing to use an exactly similar system on the small 14 H.P.

[Handwritten]
We are at present designing R. {Sir Henry Royce}
the switch (combined switch, charging & lighting) but handle locked switch. The distribution board is a very small simplified R & the automatic switch is to go on the dynamo so that the wiring will be extremely simple, complete & free and concealed.
