RE FRAME FOR INDIA(Production 20 HP. with 4-speed box and Front Wheel Brakes) 3 and 4.

We send herewith N.Sch.2440 which shews some modifications which we find it advisable to make to the original frame for India(Production 20 HP. with 4-speed box and Front Wheel Brakes) 3 & 4, shewn on N.Sch.2433.

In pencil we shew the modified rear end for the first experimental frame which we suggest might be made without modification to the dies of our present frame by suitable bending.

The shape up to the point "B" is the same as previously given on N.Sch.2433. After this point, the lower flange is slightly inclined to-wards the rear. The radius to the rear end is in consequence reduced.

[Start of struck-through text] In green we shew how we would like the rear joggle to be moved further aft and deepened in vertical section, [End of struck-through text] [handwritten addition: when new dies are ordered.]

We would be glad if BY would send us a detail drawing of the frame for the first chassis as soon as it has been decided what can be done, so that we shall know what frame to work to for our design of the units.
