| To Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From G.W.H. 879+1. Hotel de France, Chateauroux(French test region), FRANCE. May 7th 1932. 19-EX. DYNAMO FABRIC DRIVE. The driving holes in the fabric drive have become elongated, as shown in the sketch, and lost movement is taking place. We would suggest the reason for this being that the nuts have not been tightened up as tight as they should have been, which allowed the washers free movement. We have not known of this failure before. We came across this whilst looking for a rattle which had developed in the engine case, but so far we have not found anything else to account for it.
