WRAITH GEARBOX.

As requested by Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} , we have measured the deflections that take place when tightening the nut at the rear end of the Wraith transmission shaft with a spanner torque of 200 lbs/ft.

The increase in the diameters A. {Mr Adams} and B. measured in the plane XX. was .005.

The coupling itself moved .070 up the taper and to allow this the ball bearing had to be removed and washers used under the nut when the small end of the shaft taper appeared through the coupling.
