| Contd. -3- Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 2/CB15.12.20. of a day or so. We may think of some different way of dealing with it. With further reference to Figs. 4 & 5 it seems to us that the driving pillars, when the joint is driving at the extreme position, may flex on the plates which carry them , and in order to reduce them we suggest in Fig 7 a plate with two or four spigots on it, for preventing the pillars collapsing, or it may be considered a simple plate spigotting into the four pillars would answer the purpose nearly as well. As regards attaching the ends of the tube of the propeller shaft, on account of the thin tube, we have shewn a number of small pegs and brazing, but we are not satisfied with this, and we are sending some further suggestions in a day or two, but thought we had better get the joints away at once.
