Referring to Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.6/MH. {M. Huckerby} 18.7.38, we think that since the scheme recommended by us for the steam escape pipe for 'B' series Wraith gives a better water level in top tank and since we believe that the omission of baffle to Ew.1170 (which it permits) shows a definite cost saving, we would like to know what saving it would show if adopted for the remainder of 'A' series cars. All that would be necessary for these cars would be to omit the baffles to Ew.1170 and modify the outlet slot in the water inlet nozzle in accordance with Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.6/MH. {M. Huckerby} 18.7.38. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std. | ||
