Wraith III Slipper Flywheel - HFS.E/VS. {J. Vickers} 29.4.37.

We do not think you would like your own suggestion because:-

(1) It would be next to impossible to erect the front half flywheel to engage with the S springs dangling therein.

(2) On all of our cars the springs have always been retained in some form or other, and we consider that the plug shown on LeC. 5492 is a cheaper way of doing it.

(3) We still think that the feature of being able to remove springs without disturbing in any way the spring drive is an advantage because in service alterations have to be made to the amount of friction on the slipper damper.
