Bump Buffers, Front Suspension - Wraith III. -------------------------------------------- In order to use hexagon headed bolts for attaching the bump buffer to the lower triangle levers, a certain amount of design has been necessary. On N.Sch.5116 herewith, on the right hand side, we show the design suitable for production. The ledge on the triangle forging is increased in length so that the bolts may be moved in towards the centre line of the car, and the buffer plate altered in shape to suit. The rubber is moved inwards like the bolts and the pad on the aluminium housing moved to correspond. In order to use existing forgings and castings one must either retain the square headed bolt or use the scheme on the left hand side of N.Sch.5116, where the bolts are moved inwards so as to have a hexagon head.
