Messrs.Park Ward & Co.,

Willesden,
London, N.W.10.

For the attention of Mr.Ward.

Dear Sirs,
Re Four-door Saloon - 26.G.6.
------------------------------

We send herewith the specification for the Four-door Saloon for chassis 26.G.6, and would be glad to receive your comments.

You will notice that we have called for no division in the specification, although it is understood that the design for the body should be made such that a division of the Park Ward type can be fitted to subsequent bodies of the same design.

We wish every effort to be made to save weight on this body, and are prepared to consider any experiments that may have this end in view if you would first submit them to us for our criticism. Whilst the body is to have a wooden framework and to be panelled in aluminium, we agree to the use of sheet steel in the structure wherever this can be done without loss of strength or increase of weight.

We have already told you of the larger battery and have seen that this could be applied to 24.G.6 and 25.G.6 without modification to the body. In the case of 26.G.6 the rear seat will have to have a dummy heel board and the fixed heel board of sheet steel will need to be in the position of the heel board of the enclosed limousine.

LeC.5523 which shows a complete layout of the battery and box is sent herewith and should be catered for.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd

Att:LeC.5523.
