I should not from my own experience of two years driving over a distance of 20,000 miles be disposed to agree that dirt under the control valves is a real trouble. I would like to have Hd {Mr Hayward / Mr Huddy} 's remarks under this heading, as a result of his service experience. I am not clear what is meant by the governor characteristic being unnecessary; if an oil pump of the gear type will give a rising pressure with speed then it represents another method of attaining the governor effect. A gear pump is a rather noisy affair, and I would like Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /Hdy. {William Hardy} to give this proposal attention and provide evidence for or against it before we proceed to try it out. In addition, it appears to me viscosity effects become a difficulty with gear box oil and a gear pump. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Handwritten Signature: By] | ||
