Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /FJH. {Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} 6/KW. 20.8.35.

We are very concerned about the trouble with the isolated change gear lever on 21-G-IV as we hope to standardise this shortly.

Can you let us know whether the shafts and housings for the ball bearings on which the lever is mounted are hardened. Also whether the balls are free in their cages.

Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /F.J.Hardy.
