Bentley III Chassis.
Rear Axle Hypoid Bevel Gears.

Further to Cgh. {W Clough} 11/W.22.11.37 in connection with the three sets of 10 x 43 ratio hypoid bevel gears which we have requested the Gleason Works to supply, a cable was sent to them asking if they could leave the shank of the pinion so that it could be ground 35 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m. diameter and 2" longer, but they have replied that the gears are being cut, consequently it is too late for this alteration to be introduced on these three pairs.
