X.2512 - TABLE OF RESULTS OF SPECIAL TESTS ON TWELVE DUBILIER MADE CONDENSERS FOR R.R. BATTERY IGNITION.

Condensers divided into four groups of three each as follows :-

Group A. {Mr Adams} Nos. 785, 786, 810.
Group B. Nos. 730, 780, 813.
Group C. Nos. 727, 800, 825.
Group D. {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Nos. 778, 796, 823.

Tests through which condensers were carried as follows :-

Test 1. This consists of bench test under operating conditions on otherwise standard R.R. battery ignition with H.T. gaps of 6.5 mm. and duration 4 hours.

Test 2. This consists of standard production test on transformer for ten minutes at 400 volts.

Test 3. This consists of resonance test of condenser with secondary of Remy coil as inductance, for ten minutes, on 200 volt 50~ A.C. mains by which means about 600 volts is put up on condenser terminals.

Test 4. This consists of bench test with 18 volt battery on otherwise standard R.R. battery ignition but with H.T. gaps of 9 mm. and duration 4 hours.
