Re 40/50 Speedometers - Elliotts
With further reference to Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 18/BM/6.6.24, we presume you received the instrument and shall be interested to hear if you have any criticisms to make from the point of view of principle and workmanship.
Messrs. Elliott advise us that the two instruments for test are ready for despatch suitable for cable speeds of 720 and 770 revs per mile. They state that we do not indicate length of the flexible drive and presume they will be in order in sending two of the usual length, viz. 48".
We have asked them not to despatch the instruments until we give them definite information on this point, and should therefore be glad of your immediate reply.
