Re: Elliott Speedometers.

Thanks for your Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 3/LG11.3.25. The information given appears to be conclusive and sufficient to warrant our returning the instruments to Elliott's with our report.

We shall be glad if you will have the instruments removed and returned to us here for this purpose unless you prefer to return them direct to Elliott's and write them on the subject.

According to our records, they supplied you with two instruments the numbers of which were 40395 and 40350.

Regarding the last paragraph of your memo, we are inclined to agree that it would be better to purchase such items in future for testing, instead of obtaining them on loan.

The Smith Company are very anxious that we should test their Speedometer. We should be glad of an expression of opinion as to whether you think we are safe to carry on with the A.T. without worrying about testing any other make, in case the A.T. should let us down. The point to bear in mind is, that if we were suddenly let down by the A.T. people either owing to poor workmanship, material or financial reasons in connection with the Company, we should be in rather an awkward position if we had no "second string to our bow".
