| TO Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From G.W.H. Hotel de France Chateauroux(French test region) Indre 30/3/29 We have today run the morning trip of 250 miles. The afternoon has been taken up with investigation work. The two rear shock dampers have been taken off the car and the high pressure valve in each case, the rivet that was put in at the Canadel taken out ie to Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 's instructions in has letter of the 28/3/29 no print was enclosed in the letter. The Telegauge we found had lost most of its liquid. It had apparently gone too high and got into the balance pipe. We have refilled the glass tube and cleared the pipes by the foot pump. The starter motor we have not as yet tackled, it appears to be an electrical fault as nothing happensat all when the button is pressed. Reports on these investigations will follow tomorrow. G.W.H.
