| Copy to Er. Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Fm/PD. Hn. {F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 1/MN. 16th. February, 1937. Messrs. Park Ward & Co., 473, High Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re Four-Door Saloon - 26.G.6. We confirm that we left with you on Wednesday last, Feb. 10th. instructions to go ahead with a full sized drawing of a four-door Saloon on the G.6 type chassis 26.G.6. and that you will inform us as soon as it is complete in order that we may come down and inspect it. The ¼-scale drawing of the body was shown on LeC.5183 and a complete 1/16th. scale picture of the car was shown on LeC.5472, Fig.1. Prints of these drawings were left with you. A specification of the body will follow in due course for your comments. It is desired that this body should be designed such that it may have or not have a division as required. In the case of the body for 26.G.6. which you will build, this will not have a division. The steering will be 'E' type similar to that of 25.G.6. but you will notice that we have a different slope to the back end of the bonnet. In future this slope to the back end of the bonnet will be used for all bodies. We shall send you the steel tubular ring for the petrol tank filler to be built into the body before panelling. We regret that we have omitted to do this in the case of 24.G.6 and 25.G.6. This was an oversight. We left with you particulars of the larger battery, and we wish you to arrange for the use of this battery on 26.G.6. Contd: | ||
