Sales Department and our Experimental Department have had a set of 6.00 - 19" tyres with covers having similar treads to those which have been standardised for Phantom lll viz. Dunlop Fort L.90 cover, and it is agreed that these should be fitted on cars as soon as they are available, therefore we are assuming that ROY. {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} will issue instructions to the Dunlop Co. to put the necessary moulds in hand. We understand that the new covers will be available in about 3 to 4 weeks. In the meantime, therefore, we shall have to continue to fit the present standard tyres. The new covers should not, however, be ordered in large quantities until some further development work is done by Experimental Department to confirm that they are entirely satisfactory. BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /Cgh. {W Clough} | ||
