| CK. {Mr Clark} from BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BY14/P11.11.19. X 2512 RE CONDENSERS FROM THE G.E.CO. ------- (5th) I am sending you herewith a further sample condenser from the above company. I also attach copy of their letter of the 8th inst., from which it will be seen that apparently the report did not definitely make clear the fact that it was the screws in the holes to which breakdown occurred, and that when the screws in question were removed the condenser appeared to be satisfactory. Will you kindly put this through the usual tests, both with and without screws in the holes. If it fails under the latter condition please return same with screws in position so that I may return it to the G.E.C. and let them test it in a similar condition to that under which it was tested at these works.
