Clarifying specifications for a locker and petrol tank size for coachbuilders.

You will notice that in order the locker may appear to be separate from the body there is a swaging around it. With this the locker will be 'stepped-in' about .5" each side. This treatment is liked by the coachbuilders because it enables them to give the maximum interior width to the locker.

In the specification which accompanied BY1/MH. {M. Huckerby} 25.7.38, it is mentioned the petrol tank will be of 18-gallon capacity and reference is made to prints Nos.F.C.D.797 and 711 for details of the tank. One of these prints shows a 16-gallon tank and the other an 18-gallon tank.

We have told P.W.& Co., to disregard the smaller tank and that the print showing this was sent them for the other information it contains.
We hope we were correct in so doing.
