April,1937. Messrs.Park Ward & Co., 473, High Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re Enclosed Limousine - 26.G.6. ---------------------------------- We send herewith a specification of the coachwork for the above body, and would be glad to have any comments which you may wish to make. In the meantime, we note the body is going ahead without any delay. We hope that it will be ready for delivery on May 1st. next. We have received from you, at the request of our Sales Dept., particulars of finishing and trimming for our criticism. We have decided to paint the Enclosed Limousine maroon and black to the pattern herewith. With respect to the headcloth, we agree to the use of pattern 177SC herewith to be used throughout. The rear seat should be trimmed to cloth No. 7171T, the pattern of which is herewith, and the front seat - black leather. We are sorry that both the headcloths are so thick, as we understand that American coachwork research departments have discovered that thick cloth reflects sound. We would have preferred a lighter cloth than this we have chosen for the headcloth and seat cloth if such could be fixed up without delaying the car. If you have any samples which you think worth while submitting to us we should be glad if you would do so. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE LTD., Att: Spec. and patterns.
