Test report comparing the performance, dimensions, and weight of Dagenite and Exide batteries.

Identifier  ExFiles\Box 164\4\  img279
Date  2nd November 1936

Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Tst.5/JH.2.11.36.

Batteries Tested.

Dagenite 6HZD.13/S.
Exide 6.XCMRF.31ML.

Details of batteries.

BATTERY. PLATE DIMENSIONS. BATTERY DIMENSIONS. WT. (WET).
Width Height Thickness Width Length Height
6HZD.13/S. 5.687" 5.312" .076P .076N 6 7/8" 17 1/4" 9 1/8" 83 1/4 lbs.
6XCMR.13-1ML. 5.697" 5.312" .080P .080N 6 7/8" 17 1/4" 9 1/8" 86 1/4 lbs.

Performance Figures.

BATTERY. WT. CAPACITY. AMP. HRS. PER High rate 200 amp. disch. INT.
10 hr. rate. LB. discharge capacity. capacity. RES.

6HZD13/S. 83 1/4 lbs. 80 AMP. HR. 0.956 42.1 A.H. 28.4 A.H. .0089Ω
6XCMR.13 86 1/4 lbs. 77 " " 0.891 36 " 28.4 " .0086

Curves of all the discharge are attached and it will be seen that the Dagenite battery gave the better electrical discharge performances. It should be noted from the curves that negative weakness, indicated by the Cadmuin to negative reading, is greater in the Dagenite battery.
