RADIATOR SUPPORT - L.H. PHANTOM AND N. 2 SERIES CHASSIS.

In discussing this matter with the Experimental Department they are of the opinion that the scheme including the large tubular cross member for supporting the radiator at the centre is not likely to come into production. They themselves prefer the scheme which was run on 23-EX, in France, which consisted of the present standard channel cross member with fitting riveted to same for carrying the ball socket for the central support of the radiator.

The D.O. will give the Tool Department new lists covering this for the L.H. and N.2 series chassis.

It is further agreed that we use the diabolo rubber for steadying the radiator at the two ends of the radiator bottom tank.

The spring scheme may have to be used occasionally in order to overcome complaints, but the rubber scheme is at the moment preferred as being the best compromise.
