| To By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Les. c. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Roy. {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} BUMPER BARS. Our present quotation for Wraith front Bumper bar FW.1110 from the J.R.Engineering Co. Ltd. is - £3-15s.-0d. for quantities of 100. £3-14s.-0d. for quantities of 500. Wilmot Breedens have given us a quotation for making the same bumper bar for - £2-6s.-0d. for quantities of 500. Tool Cost £133-7s.-10d. We have since had Ridlington of the J.R.Engineering Co. Ltd. at Derby and explained our bumper bar position to him. Without making any profit Ridlington cannot make the Wraith Bumper bar for Wilmot Breeden's figure. As Ridlington's business almost completely consists of supplying bumpers for our cars, he is ready to supply us with front bumpers at cost price in view of making money when supplying the rear bumper to the coach-builders. With this object in aim he will let us have the Wraith Bumper for - £2-15s.-0d. for quantities of 100. £2-14s.-0d. for quantities of 500. For further orders on Ph.III we have asked for the price to be £3. instead of £4. For Bentley III and Bentley 50 we intend to buy a bumper from Wilmot Breeden for under 30/-. We recommend that we temporarily continue with the J.R.Engineering Co. Ltd. for Wraith and Ph.III at these new prices, so that all our energy can be spent in getting the correct article for Bentley III and Bentley 50. | ||
