19th September, 1936.

F.G.W. King, Esq.,
The Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd.,
Fort Dunlop,
Erdington,
Birmingham.

Dear Mr. King,

This is to confirm that our car will be in London on Tuesday of next week, carrying out tests on tyre noise, and we should like to have the co-operation of your engineers if this is possible.

It will be possible to contact with the car at Lillie Hall, Seagrave Road, Fulham, S.W.6.

The car will be going down to London again later in the week, probably Thursday, in case it is inconvenient for you to get on Tuesday; but on this occasion will be mainly engaged in tests of exhaust systems.

The main object of the test as far as we are concerned is to see how objectionable the groans from the worn "L.90" type tyre can be in London traffic. If they are bad, then can anything be done to the design of the tyre to improve matters ?

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
