Sidgreaves - MD} 10/El.5.36 Referring to Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 15/KW.29.4.36, Cx. {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} tried this car with the worn chamfered edge IRE [struck through] tyres and then changed straight over to a set of wheels with the four modified Dunlop '90' tyres which you sent down. He tells me that these new tyres appear to make this car a little less noisy than with the others and he feels that we can accept for production chassis this modified pattern of Dunlop tyre. The four wheels and tyres which were loaned are now at Lillie Hall for your disposal and I note you propose to arrange for 32-EX to pick them up as it passes through London on its way to the coast. Cx. {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} says this car suffers from considerable exhaust booms at certain speeds and I think we might usefully discuss this matter when we are at Derby next week.
