| To RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X 5080 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /CTS. {C. Trot Salt - Carburation} 4/KW.29.2.34. 20/25 Horizontal Carburetter. Re your memo. RHC {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} /WSC. {W. S. Cassel} 19/AP.28.2.34. Will you please produce two more carburetters to LEC.3688, incorporating the following modifications. We require these in order to have one test bed carb. and one carb. on each 20/25 car. Main Jet Mechanism. It is important that this part should be a good job. The jet to be .105 dia. The limit on this dimension is shown as + 2 but this must be + ½. Throttle Edge. The hole in the eccentric to be .039 instead of .046. Adjustment should be arranged so that when the throttle is closed, a complete hole is visible at the one extreme, while the hole is completely hidden in the other extreme position. We have had trouble with the connecting piece between the control and the main jet, sticking in the alum. body of the carb. On one of the new carburetters therefore will you please insert a brass sleeve in the carb. for the operating rod to slide in. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /C. T. Salt. | ||
