re. SPARE WHEEL CARRIER. 20.HP. AND 40/50.

We thank you for your BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /C12/H191123., and the enclosed L.F.396., and think that this should be tried, although the stiffener is not so good as originally schemed. Should it be found inadequate we can devise a more elaborate reinforcement.

We believe that the wheel carriers on the Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) are liable to work loose on the frame, and suggest that 3/8" bolts be used in future so as to get a great friction load. This also applies to N.scheme 1409. - Carrier for Spare Wheel 40/50.
