Messrs Thomas Firth & John Brown Ltd.,
Atlas & Norfolk Works,
SHEFFIELD.

Dear Sirs,

We are very pleased to have received the first 3 pairs of road springs having main specification to FW.754 but having a very simplified finish. We are now very interested to have a quotation from you for supplying such springs in quantities of 400 and 1000.

At the moment we have received quotations from two manufacturers for similar springs in which the price is under half the price you require for the ground and plated FW.754 springs. If there are any other features which you find are wasteful in order to produce an efficient spring, we should be glad to come over to discuss their merits.

For the two quotations we have received the taper points have been drawn and not ground. We should be quite ready to use drawn points if you had the necessary equipment.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
