| X1487. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn. {Mr Robinson} 7/KT. Oct. 11th, 1932. The S.U.Carburetter Co, Ltd, East Works, Bordesley Green Road, Adderley Park, B'ham. For the attention of Mr. Skinner. Dear Sir, With reference to your letter of Oct. 6th. We have now taken the bonnet temperatures as requested and attach a copy of our results. You are of course aware that the exhaust manifold is on the side remote from the carburetters. The result is that on the carburetter side the air temperature never exceeds 40°C. On the exhaust side within reasonable proximity to the manifold it rises to 47°C. I am interested to know how the flat air intake drawings are getting on, and hope the manufacture of the new carburetters is progressing favourably. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
