Crankshafts for Spectre(Codename for Phantom III) and P.V. Engines. Roy {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} 1/MG15.6.34. It is still undesirable, I think, to go to the expense of £1,600 to sink Dies for these Crankshafts. I think we should wait until we have run the Spectre(Codename for Phantom III) and P.V. before we go to this expense. I take it that we have got at least six crankshafts for Spectre(Codename for Phantom III) and 2/3 for PV Engines, so that experimentally we are not held up. If the case is as stated and no one has anything new to put before me, I should like you to bring the question up again when these engines have done some running time. I think we ought to be reasonably safe before we instruct the dies to be sunk. Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} | ||
