Wraith II Front Suspension.
Road Springs and Lever Movements.
We have now calculated a set of road springs of maximum weight for Wraith II. That is to say, with springs of 1,000 lbs. total, the maximum corrected stress on full bump is 118,000 lbs/sq.inch, which is on the inner spring.
In order to obtain the space it has been necessary to provide the outer aluminium alloy pot with an external spigot in the place of the internal one, as shown on N.Sch.4822.
This drawing also shows the movements of the triangle levers and the movement of the wheel centre, both in normal positions and on lock, and also the geometry of the brake gear is shown.
In a few days time we shall be in a position to give you the triangle levers now that this geometry has been determined.
