PEREGRINE(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine) STARTER MOTOR BEARINGS. We have had a failure to engage of one of our experimental Peregrine(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine) starter motors on the test bed due to the lack of lubricant in the comm. end bearing. The motor seized in the out position and a few drops of oil on the shaft, which was found to be dry and polished, corrected the trouble. It appears that the small spring loaded pad is not a sufficient reservoir for the lubricant for the comm. end bearing. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Wst. | ||
