| To. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From G.W.H. Hotel de France Chateauroux(French test region) Indre We have been investigating today the oil leak from the rear shock dampers and the cause of the failure of the starter meter. We find that most of the leak of oil from the shock dampers is from the screws in the top of the valve caps. It would appear that the seating of the screws is not too good, as they are tightened up as much as possible. We have not altered the holes in the valves as we have not suitable drills and everywhere is closed. The starter meter failure appears to be due to the large bearing having torn up and is now too large in diametre, allowing the pinion to cross bind and jam. Also an electrical fault is apparent as the main switch vibrates when the button is pressed instead of remaining closed. We are trying to fit up our spare starter meter to continue the test. seen E.F.C. EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} G.W.H. G.W.H. Seen hsL hived by SS {S. Smith} | ||
