Rolls-Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Yr.Ref:Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 6/R. Dear Mr. Robotham, With further reference to your letter of the 22nd inst, reference as above, concerning the charge made to your London Service Station, I find that my previous surmise was correct, and that the charge only represents modifying carburetters according to your latest specification. As you know, just recently you have asked for three distinct sorts of modifications to the original design, which entailed a fair amount of work, and we felt that we were entitled to charge for the cost of these modifications. There has never been any suggestion of our charging for the actual time of servicing or remedying alleged faulty work. In your last paragraph you appeal to me to co-operate by sharing the expense, in order to give satisfaction | ||
