SIDE SPARE WHEEL CARRIERS - P.II.

PN. {Mr Northey} has complained of excessive oscillation of the side spare wheels on P.II cars. We have always been rather on the border line with this complaint, ever since the rear engine feet ceased to support the wheel.

We are therefore surprised to find that at the beginning of this year the spare wheel was raised approx. 2", which necessitates a longer and more flexible bracket. We find that the deflection of the new bracket is 50% greater than the previous one.

We have never fitted the new bracket to one of our cars, and can find no note informing us that such a change was intended.
