Dear Sirs, We have now completed bench tests on the three LR. {Mr Ellor} 7 type, and two LRT.7 type regulators, sent under cover of X/LGT9/21.9.37, 30.9.37, and 1.10.37. During the test these units were mounted in a vertical position, similar to that occupied in normal use on a car, the voltmeter being connected between terminals D and E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A standard R.R. dynamo (5" carcase) and, for load purposes, a plain resistance was used. The ambient temperature of the units ranged between 19 and 22°C. Results obtained as follows:- Regulator Output current at 13 volts (through terminal A.1) Cold. Unit. Amperes. Without Compensation. ( ENS 4202 - 1 11.2 to 10.4 At all speeds up to 6000 R.P.M. ( ENS 4202 - 2 14.1 to 12.8 " " " " " " ( LT 1325 14.2 to 12.3 " " " " " " With Compensation.
