| To: Mr. Royce. X794DZ 83 Hôtel de France, Châteauroux, Indre. January 26th. 1929. We have now completed our investigation of 16-EX and have completed the re-erecting of the car to-day. We have not as yet fitted the solid front engine feet as we wish to carry out a preliminary test before doing so. We hope to get this done and engine feet fitted in time for the car to arrive at Le Canadel(Henry Royce's French residence) towards the end of this nextweek, we should say February 2nd. but will let you know definitely later. With the exception of the engine fabric coupling we have not found anything seriously wrong with the car. The lubrication of the various parts was very good, the engine/connecting rod bearings and the general mechanism of the engine was in very good condition. New parts that have been fitted to the car are: New front shock dampers and near side control arm. Yours respectfully, | ||
